At BJC we're a huge fan of the Aston Martin Cygnet and we believe that having owned at least a dozen of the 141 UK cars produced we've probably had more Cygnets than any other independent dealer! This particular 'Silver Fox' manual example is possibly the finest yet;- originally registered to the supplying Aston Martin agent and then just two owners during its 15 years since new! With 8700 miles and in outstanding condition, the paperwork on this Cygnet sets it apart, with an exemplary Aston Martin stamped service history and accompanying file with every document as well as the original brochure. This is a 100% complete sensational example in impeccable order. I bought this Cygnet to enjoy myself but I'd let it go to the right home. First shown at the Geneva Motor Show in 2010, the Cygnet was to be Aston Martin's new city car, aiming to sell 4000 units per year but less than 150 cars for the UK and 600 for Europe were ever produced! Based on the Toyota IQ, cars were shipped to the Gaydon factory in the UK, then they were stripped;- externally only the roof panel remained, everything else was bespoke. Over 150 hours were spent on each interior and they were painted in the same spray booth as the Aston Martin One 77 hyper-car. Despite motor racing icons such as Sir Stirling Moss and Eddie Irvine owning Cygnets, they remain the most controversial car ever! Aston Martin are the only high-end car brand to produce a city car, unlike Ferrari and Maserati who paired with Abarth to make a 'special edition', the Cygnet is a true Aston Martin and rarer than a DB6! Imagine if Rolls-Royce or Bentley made one, how much would that be? Today a new Mini can cost £50k! Truly collectible!
