Based on an original pre-war 1937 chassis supplied new with Park Ward Sports Saloon body to a Mr Endres of Johannesburg, these cars come from an era when Bentley built the car and coach-builders built the body, owners kept cars a lifetime, having the body adapted to their needs. Registered in the UK in 2009, its then owner, Mr Marsh, commissioned marque experts Petersen Engineering to build the car to his exacting standards over the course of the next few years.
